AW 12 = Going back... Way back

Just skimmed through the AW 12 collections, the collections that hit me the most was Dolce & Gabbana and Burberry Prorsum for both sticking with their roots but still introducing something new.

Dolce & Gabbana went all the way back to the renaissance, showing off some very nice embroidery jackets with traditional trousers and all in their original signature, Italian tailoring. Im not really a fan of the current Dolce & Gabbana cut, it seems somewhat out of proportion. The jackets are very small but not so slim that it makes sense and the trousers are slim in the hem but loose in the thigh area... The jackets really stand out and some of the shoes are very nice as well...

Burberry Prorsum on the other hand went back to their roots after some seasons of exploring exotic prints and materials, and in my opinion they really pulled it of. The suits were tailored to perfection and the accesorries really stood out in a fun and edgy way that it was the best executed show of the two...

Really want the suit, mainly because of the slim trousers and the color...
