If you want to go forwards instead of going renaissance, look no further than Givenchy and Lanvin for classy street style. Givenchy continued along the lines of their last AW show with black being the dominant color and embroidered sweeters, oversize print t-shirts and skirts giving it contrast while still being wearable...
Lanvin on the other hand introduced stripes in a way that resembled prison outfits. They continue their sneaker succes and also use oversizing...

AW 12 = Going back... Way back
Just skimmed through the AW 12 collections, the collections that hit me the most was Dolce & Gabbana and Burberry Prorsum for both sticking with their roots but still introducing something new.
Dolce & Gabbana went all the way back to the renaissance, showing off some very nice embroidery jackets with traditional trousers and all in their original signature, Italian tailoring. Im not really a fan of the current Dolce & Gabbana cut, it seems somewhat out of proportion. The jackets are very small but not so slim that it makes sense and the trousers are slim in the hem but loose in the thigh area... The jackets really stand out and some of the shoes are very nice as well...

Really want the suit, mainly because of the slim trousers and the color...

Just found this givenchy winter coat that kind of resembled the Balmain I talked about some days ago... Found It at Yoox.com to around 1000$ so that's a lot cheaper than the Balmain, but it crazy thinking about winter coats now isn't it? :)

Birds + Givenchy = Summer
Really like this print on the ss12 givenchy runway, its called birds of paradise, and no I wouldn't buy the whole outfit, but taken apart it is a real nice print that really liven up the summer :) too bad luisaviaroma is all out :(

Mærket hedder Louis morais og er håndlavet i USA... Er det bare mig eller ligner de ikke temmelig meget noget Alexander mcqueen kunne ha lavet? Men det er jo ikke en dårlig ting bare lidt spøjst :)
